New Indictment Accuses Maduro and Cilia Flores of Ordering Torture
New allegations of torture have been leveled against the deposed Venezuelan leader, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, for their involvement in the order to torture thousands of political rivals and also some U.S. nationals through beatings, electrocutions, and rape. The two have been arrested by U.S. security forces in January 2026 and are currently held in prison in New York, pending trial next year for their involvement in drug trafficking.
